I have been away in the Japanese alps for the last few months shooting various winter activities in and around the world class ski fields and back country slopes of Hakuba valley.
If you are a skier or snowboarder this region needs no introduction; the term “JAPOW” was coined here (Japanese powder) as the region hosts some of the lightest and driest snow on the planet.
I will have a few more photos coming when I return to my office in Miyazaki, but for now here are a few images from some recent powder days.
